Zinedine Zidane
28/06/2006: Anyone who manages to secure a ticket to see France during this summer's World Cup will have the honour of witnessing the last glimpses of one of football's true masters in action.
Midfielder Zinedine Zidane came out of international retirement in order to help France reach Germany and the 33-year-old has announced Germany will be the end of the road.
Not only is he one of football's greatest players, he is also its all-time most expensive. His move from Juventus to Real Madrid set the Spanish side back around £48 million.
Perhaps the most noticeable quality possessed by the Frenchman is his almost telekinetic ability to control the ball. He seemingly has it on a string, never losing it or miscalculating his first touch.
He has claimed the prestigious title of Fifa Player of the Year no once, not twice, but three times.
Having won everything in the game including a World Cup, European Cup and Champions League, Zidane can retire in the summer without any regrets.

11/06/2006: Well, Zizou is a great player and for me he is the best there ever was. If you haven't watched his game then you've missed one of the most important things in your life. With his excellent ball control, he's the best of the current crop of football players.
