Juventus

15/07/2006: Juventus have been relegated to Serie B and will start with a 30-point deduction next season but AC Milan will remain in Serie A.

Fiorentina and Lazio have also been relegated to Serie B for their part in the match-fixing scandal which has rocked the Italian game shortly after winning World Cup 2006.

To add to the clubs' misery all four have been banned from playing in Europe next season.

The tension had been mounting all day across the county as it was thought that all four clubs would receive some sort of penalty but the level of punishment has gone further than most in the sport expected.

Juve will play in Serie B next season and with a 30-point penalty, meaning effectively that they will be relegated to Serie C the following year.

The Turin-based outfit have also been stripped of their past two Italian titles but as yet there is no word as to whether the Scudetto will be awarded to the runners-up on each occasion.

Milan have avoided a into the second tier of Italian football but will begin next season with a 15-point penalty, meaning they will have to enjoy a superb campaign to have any hope of qualifying for the Champions League in the 2007-2008 season.

Lazio have been relegated to Serie B, along with Fiorentina, and have been penalised seven points, while the Florence-based outfit will begin next season with a 12-point penalty.

It would now seem likely that all the top players from Juventus will be moving on to pastures new and the big sides in Spain and England will be licking their lips at the thought of a number of world class players arriving at their clubs for a cut-price fee.

The clubs will have three days to appeal to the Federal Court

15/07/2006: What a joke! They might as well stick Juventus in Serie C instead of making them start Serie B with negative 30. Why fuck around with the year when you know that your'e going to get relegated.

16/07/2006: Juventus no matter where you go...i will follow.
