Warriors beaten in Austria

28/05/2006: The Soca Warriors were beaten on Saturday evening by Wales but coach Leo Beenhakker believed the result was not that important.

"Apart from the result, we can be satisfied," Beenhakker told NCC Channel 4.

"In the second half at the end, everybody was playing without discipline and there was no balance in the field but these are problems we can solve.

"For the moment, I realise and also the players realise that we still have a lot of work to do.

"But, on the other hand, there are certain parts of the game I was very happy with."

Trinidad took an early lead in the game in Graz, Austria with Stern John turning in Chris Birchall's cross for a typical poacher's goal.

Wales equalised before half-time through Robert Earnshaw and it was the same player who scored in the dieing minutes to deny the Soca Warriors. The score did not reflect a game that Trinidad dominated from start to finish.

Trinidad and Tobago will play the fourth of their warm-up friendlies on Wednesday against Slovenia.
