Van Persies blasts Robben

13/06/2006: Holland's Robin van Persie has hit out at international team-mate Arjen Robben saying that the winger should show more of a team ethic.

Robben was on target for Holland in their 1-0 win over Serbia and Montenegro in their opening World cup game on Sunday and went close on a number of other occasions.

However, Gunner's star Van Persie does not seem to have been impressed by the Chelsea's star's overall performance as he often found himself starved of possession.

He said: "He needs to take his team-mates into account."

The Arsenal man added: "Sometimes he makes choices that are good for himself but not the team.

"We need to realize we are in this together. We had several chances against Serbia but against the really big countries you maybe get one chance.

"In that situation you have to make the right choice. He can't do it on his own."
