Arena unfazed by big names
09/06/2006: USA coach Bruce Arena has vowed that his men will be playing against the opposition teams and not their reputations in the World Cup.
The Americans have made great strides in recent years and have reached the giddy heights of fifth in the latest FIFA world rankings.
However, they are still considered one of the outsiders for the tournament, despite boasting a number of players who feature for top European outfits.
Arena's side will have to face the likes of the Czech Republic, Italy and Ghana in Group E and they will have to play to their undoubted potential if they are to make it through to the next stage of the tournament.
Arena has backed his payers to give a good account of themselves in Germany and is not scared of the 'names' on view over the next six weeks.
