Tunisia World Cup boost
03/04/2006: Tunisia's hopes of performing well at this year's World Cup received a boost this week with the news that Mehdi Nafti has resumed training.
The midfielder, part of the squad that lifted the African Cup of Nations in 2004, has been sidelined with knee ligament damage since August when playing for Birmingham in a pre-season friendly.
A regular fixture in Roger Lemerre's Tunisian squad he played in the Confederations Cup in Germany.
The 27-year-old, who has earned 27 caps, played at Racing Santander in Spain before joining Birmingham last year.
