Togo finalise warm up games

19/04/2006: Togo who will be competing in their first World Cup have confirmed a friendly fixture against German third division side Augsburg.

The African minnows who have had a disrupted preparation for the summer showpiece will be based in nearby Wangen will face the Bavarian side in early June just a week before their opening group encounter against South Korea on Tuesday June 13.

The Togo FA sacked the coach who had brought them through qualification, Stephen Keshi, and replaced him with German coach Otto Pfister after a disastrous African Cup of Nations.

The Hawks have already scheduled World Cup warm-ups against Saudi Arabia in Holland on May 14, Costa Rica on May 27 and Liechtenstein on June 2.

Otto Pfister's side face France Switzerland and South Korea in the group stages of the tournament that starts in Germany on June 9.
