Teammelli techno
24/04/2006: There was a temporary lifting of a ban on techno music in Iran at the weekend as the football team's new World Cup kit was revealed.
Loud techno music is forbidden in Islamic Iran and was branded as "sound pollution" by Iran FA officials as the new kits were unveiled on male models at a hotel in Teheran on Sunday.
The kit is similar to previous football strips worn by the national team.
Puma's representative in Iran Mohammaed Khalilpour said: "Teammelli home jersey is all white with a red stripe on the back shoulder, and the Teammelli away jersey is all red with a green stripe on the back shoulder."
Iran kick off their World Cup campaign with a game against group favourites Mexico in Nuremberg on Sunday June 11.
