Swiss coach happy with Italian job

03/06/2006: Swiss coach Kobi Kuhn thinks his side's performance against Italy in a 1-1 draw augers well for Switzerland's chances at World Cup 2006.

A Daniel Gygax strike cancelled out an opener from Italian striker Alberto Gilardino with the Swiss looking comfortable in possession and not overawed by their most illustrious opponents.

"We played some good football compared to the 1-1 draw with Ivory Coast.

"I thought the players improved in all the areas I asked them to.

"They concentrated a lot more and gave the ball away less even though they were playing a stronger side.
