Sven tips McClaren success

03/07/2006: Sven Goran Eriksson believes Steve McClaren will be a successful England coach and says the FA made the right choice to appoint him.

The former Middlesbrough manager will officially become the next England boss on August 1, with his first game in charge being a friendly against European Champions Greece on August 16.

The Swede said: "He's very good. I have been working with him for five and a half years.

"I'm very happy for him and I think it's the right decision for the Football Association to take him on board. He's a very good coach, excellent coach. He gets on very well with the players."

03/07/2006: A total waste of space - negative in the extreme and has never won anything. He showed throughout the World Cup he was tatically naive and just a bit of a thick Yorkshireman.
