Raul passed fit
10/06/2006: Spain striker Raul looks set to take his place in the starting line-up against Ukraine on Wednesday after shaking off a foot injury.
The 28-year-old limped out of Friday training with a right foot injury and was forced to miss the rest of the session, and it was unclear whether the Real Madrid ace would be fit in time for their World Cup opener.
However, medical staff say he has responded well to treatment and that they are certain he will be fit for Wednesday.
Team doctor Genaro Borras said: "It is in an unimportant injury and nothing to worry about."
