Serbs held by Uruguay

Support your team with ringtones!29/05/2006: In front of a half-empty stadium Serbia and Montenegro played out a draw against Uruguay in their final World Cup 2006 warm-up match.

Midfielder Dejan Stankovic gave Plavi a 17th minute lead but defender Diego Godin equalised late in the game for the visitors.

A subdued crowd failed to get behind their team with just weeks for the start of the tournament where they will face Argentina, Holland and Cote d'Ivoire.

Apart from Nemanja Vidic who will sit out the first game through suspension coach Ilija Petkovic played his strongest side from the start.

The home side dominated the play with Ognjen Koroman and Dejan Stankovic both playing well.

Their goal came when Stankovic turned in a rebound after Koroman's free-kick was saved.

FC Basle's Ivan Ergic made his international debut in the 75 minute when he replaced Mateja Kezman.
