Saudi's deny Milutinovic link
12/04/2006: Saudi Arabia FA officials have denied reports linking Bora Milutinovic with the job as national coach.
It had been reported the Saudi's were planning to replace recently appointed Marcos Paqueta even though the World Cup is less than two months away.
"It's absolute nonsense," Al Museibih, the Saudi general manager told Reuters.
"I don't know where this story comes from. It's just nonsense."
The Saudi Arabia Football Federation is famed for their lack of faith in their national coaches. Argentine Gabriel Calderon was sacked in January despite leading Saudi Arabia through the qualifying campaign.
Before his appointment, Paqueta had led his club side Al Hilal to the Saudi League and Cup double. Prior to that he had led the Brazilian under-17 and under-20 teams to world titles.
The Saudi's have suffered a run of poor results leading to the finals including recent defeats to Portugal and Poland.
Bora Milutinovic has coached a record five teams in the World Cup finals - Mexico (1986), Costa Rica (1990), United States (1994), Nigeria (1998) and China in 2002 in Japan and South Korea.
