Ronaldo denies Rooney fall out
03/07/2006: Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo has dismissed claims he has had a massive falling out with Manchester United team-mate Wayne Rooney.
Rooney was penalised for stamping on Ricardo Carvalho during England's quarter-final defeat on Saturday but then shoved Ronaldo after the winger arrived on the scene to have words with the referee.
It had been thought that the two had had a bust-up following the match, with Rooney reported to have tried to storm the Portugal dressing room to face Ronaldo whilst allegedly wanting to 'split him in two' on Monday morning.
However, Ronaldo has dismissed the speculation and saying: "The things that have been said regarding me and my team-mate and friend Rooney are incredible.
"Between me and Rooney, there is absolutely no problem. I reiterate, no problem."
