Ronaldo
02/05/2006: Despite his amazing consistency for the Brazilian team, some have questioned Ronaldo's desire to win more medals.
The legendary Brazilian striker has been criticised for putting on too much weight and for not working hard enough by fans of his domestic team Real Madrid.
In return, Ronaldo complained that the Madrid supporters had never taken to him and as a result of the falling out there is much speculation that Ronaldo will leave the Bernabeu in the summer to head back to his former club Inter, in Italy.
Despite such criticisms, on his day Ronaldo can still show that he is the best striker in the world.
Always immensely powerful, Ronaldo's real weapon is his ability to hit the target and force a save from the keeper with unerring consistency. He converts a huge percentage of chances presented to him, making him extremely important to any team, even one as blessed with talent as his Brazil side.
A World Cup winner in 2002, Ronaldo also took the golden boot award as top scorer. Few would bet against him to repeat the double during this summer's tournament.

28/06/2006: Ronaldo is a class of his own. No strikers in the world will match his striking skills or the most world cup goals for the next 50 years, I can bet you a $1,000,000 on that. My prediction is that he will have around 18 World Cup goals when he beats (Germany) in Berlin on July 9th, 2006, and will win the Golden Boot Award (sorry Klose) and FIFA World Cup Player of the Year for 2006 (sorry Ronaldinho). For those that say he is fat, so what, he can certainly enjoy partying around and eating junk food on his off-season. If Ronaldo comes back in 2010, he might score between 22 to 25 World Cup Goals, making him the best football player of the 21st century, and will have the WC Goal Record that will be unbeaten for the next 100 yrs. I strongly can see that happening already. After all, in the 100 years that football existed, 14 World Cup Goals is the highest. Ronaldo scored 15 goals, and he is not even close to retiring (he is only 29 years old, not 30). Go Ronaldo. I am 100 per cent sure that Brazil will beat France, and face Germany in Berlin and beat Germany in their own backyard with a score of 2 to 0, just like Ronaldo did back in 2002 even when Germany had the world's best goalkeeper on their side (Oliver Khan).

He has achieved more than everything that football could give to any great player in this world of ours.
