Ricardo hails Big Phil
03/07/2006: Portugal goalkeeper Ricardo has praised boss Luiz Felipe Scolari, describing him as the best coach in the world.
Ricardo was the hero for Portugal in the quarter-finals as he made three saves in the penalty shootout victory over England and he feels Scolari is the reason behind their success.
Ricardo told the www.record.pt website: "Every ship needs a captain and ours is Scolari together with his assistants.
"As head of our team he has transmitted to us his experience and knowledge and that has been crucial. He has managed to blend quality and team spirit. It's like a family."
