Janas calls for improvement

10/06/2006: Poland coach Pawel Janas admits the disastrous 2-0 defeat to Ecuador has left his players "beaten up both emotionally and physically".

The Ecuadorians pulled off the first shock of the World Cup finals after goals from Carlos Tenorio and Agustin Delgado were enough to see off the disappointing Poles.

He said: "We have to pull ourselves together because we have been beaten up both emotionally and physically. For sure not everybody played as I wanted them to. I don't want to comment further. We'll analyse what happened."
