Dwight Yorke
12/04/2006: Not many people would have predicted that Dwight Yorke and his Trinidad and Tobago side would make it to the World Cup, but the Caribbean side upset the odds and will be on a plane to Germany come June.
Aston Villa first discovered Dwight while they were out on a tour. He moved on to Manchester United, where he hit the heights of his career including getting his hands on a Champions League winner's medal.
After falling out with United boss Alex Ferguson, he moved onto Blackburn Rovers where he spent a couple of years before moving onto an unsuccessful season at Birmingham.
Now plying his trade for Sydney United, Dwight has come out of retirement in order to help Trinidad and Tobago try and make a name for themselves in Germany.
Yorke has said that he still believes he can play at the highest level and seemed to prove that by getting both goals in a 2-0 win against Iceland, despite playing in a playmaker role.
He will have to put in some more performances like that if Trinidad and Tobago are to progress out of a group containing England, Sweden and Paraguay.
