Ji-Sung Park

19/04/2006: Thought by many to be the best Asian player in world football today, Ji-Sung Park has a lot of Korea's hopes riding on him.

The Manchester United midfielder is a real terrier, bursting with energy and a real annoyance to play against.

The Manchester giants picked him up after he caught the eye at Dutch side PSV Eindhoven,, after an impressive Champions League campaign by Guus Hiddink's team.

At just £4 million, Park has proved a bargain, regularly making appearances for United.

Coming onto the pitch as a sub has proved successful, as he never gives tired defenders a second to settle on the ball.

He is more than a good squad player for Korea, however. Ji-Sung will need to repeat his heroic strike that put Portugal out of the last tournament in order to help his side through the group stage.

He helped South Korea book their place in their sixth consecutive World Cup by scoring in the 4-0 win against Kuwait, and they will have a real chance of getting results against Switzerland and Togo in Germany.
