Hernan Crespo
21/04/2006: One of the top out-and-out strikers in the world, Hernan Crespo will be difficult to defend for any team in the world.
Having scored most of his career goals in the Italian league Serie A, he has a proven ability to score against mean defences.
Crespo made a high-profile move to billionaire Roman Abramovich's Chelsea for £16.8 million in the summer of 2003.
After suffering from a dip in form and struggling to come to terms with living in a strange country, Crespo was loaned out the following season to AC Milan, where he again scored goals.
The Argentine was once the world's most expensive footballer after Lazio dished out £36.5 million for him in 2000.
Argentina will need Crespo to bring his scoring boots with him to this summer's World Cup, as they are in the toughest group alongside the Netherlands, the Ivory Coast and Serbia and Montenegro.
