Pedro 'Mantorras' Manuel
27/04/2006: Pedro Manuel, or Mantorras to the fans of Angola, is one of the hottest properties in Africa at the moment.
Few top players have come out of Portuguese-speaking Africa for sometime, but the power and precision of the young forward has already drawn comparisons with Portugal's legendary player Eusebio.
Unsurprisingly, Mantorras was quickly picked up by a Portuguese team - the champions Benfica.
The 26 year old has already had to overcome a serious injury, but has not lost any of his pace or strength.
Despite suffering a dip in form during the African Nation's Cup and being used as a sub for Benfica, the Black Antelopes of Angola will surely play him upfront.
The striker landed himself in trouble after he criticised coach Luis Oliveira Goncalves for not playing him more during the tournament.
Angola must play the freely scoring Mexicans and a fancied Portugal side during the group stages, as well as Iran.
