Pfister calls it a day

10/06/2006: Togo coach Otto Pfister has reportedly quit his post because of an ongoing row over World Cup bonus payments to his squad.

The German only took over in March after Stephen Keshi was sacked following a poor campaign in January's African Cup of Nations.

Pfister and his assistant, Piet Hamburg, are said to have left the team hotel on Friday evening, with team doctor Joachim Schubert reportedly telling Kicker magazine: "It is too bad that he's left because it worked well but the situation was no longer sustainable."
