Pekerman won't rest on laurels

24/06/2006: Following his side's win over Mexico, Argentina coach Jose Pekerman admits that there are areas where they can improve.

In a thrilling last-16 clash the South American side booked their place in the quarter finals of the World Cup courtesy of an spectacular extra-time strike from Maxi Rodriguez.

His strike saw Argentina complete a comeback after Mexico took the lead through Rafael Marquez, before Argentina leveled terms when Jared Borgetti was unlucky to divert the ball into his own net.

Reflecting on the game Pekerman admitted it was a close encounter and said: "It was tough because of the merit of our rivals. During our best moments we weren't able to score a goal and that's something we must correct."

He added: "We got a bit individualistic in some movements and didn't chose the right pass."
