Paqueta upbeat despite loss

27/05/2006: Despite losing 2-0 to the Czech Republic Saudi Arabia coach Marcos Paqueta was upbeat about the loss in Innsbruck, Austria.

A goal from Milan Baros and a last minute penalty from Marek Jankulovski sealed the win for the Czechs but Paqueta feels his side is improving all the time and this effort was better than the recent games against Togo and Belgium.

"Our players were strong and played better than the last two games," he said.

"We're on the right track.

"Our players need more experience - games against strong and experienced players like Nedved or Baros.

"That's very important for us."

Saudi Arabia's next warm-up friendly will be against Turkey in the German city of Offenbach close to the World Cup venue in Frankfurt.
