O'Neill an Aussie target
23/06/2006: Martin O'Neill is reportedly a shock candidate to coach Australia after Guus Hiddink quits following the World Cup.
However, the former Celtic boss will only be offered the job should the Aussies' first choice Gerard Houllier turn down the offer.
Houllier has a year remaining on his Lyon contract and the Football Federation Australia has given him until the day after the World Cup ends to make a decision.
FFA chief executive John O'Neill admitted:"He (O'Neill) is somebody we plan to talk to in the near future."
