Milito happy to bide time

13/06/2006: Centre-back Gabriel Milito is itching to make his mark for Argentina but insists he is happy to bide his time.

The two-time World Cup winners opened their campaign with a 2-1 victory against Ivory Coast in Group C on Saturday but the Real Zaragoza defender remained on the bench as an unused substitute.

Milito is hoping to get the call from coach Jose Pekerman to face Serbia & Montenegro in Gelsenkirchen on Friday but insists that he will not be making waves if he misses out again.

Milito said: "If I'm not in, nothing will happen. I'm ready for whenever the coach needs me and to support the rest of my team-mates."

Serbia & Montenegro suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Holland in their opening game but Milito has warned his team-mates of the threat caused by Atletico Madrid forward Mateja Kezman.

"He (Kezman) is very complicated to mark because of how he moves on the pitch.

"He's also complements Savo Milosevic well."
