Mexicans unfazed by Blanco situation
01/05/2006: Mexico players have distanced themselves from the non-inclusion of playmaker Cuauhtemoc Blanco from Ricardo La Volpe World Cup squad.
"I don't see why this should affect us. It's an off-field problem and we have come to work and focus on our jobs and not get involved in things which aren't our business." Andres Guardado commented to Reuters.
"There are always going to be problems, things which some say and things which others say but we have to make sure they don't affect us and stay concentrated," added Carlos Salcido.
The Argentine coach has once again said he will not add anybody to his squad despite demonstrations outside the Mexican FA calling for Blanco's reinclusion.
The rift between the two was exacerbated by Blanco's decision to pull out on the eve of last season's Confederation Cup in Germany.
La Volpe has come in for criticism for including two naturalised Mexicans as well as including his son-in-law Rafael Garcia.
He must name his final roster by May 15.
