Manchester United chase Gattuso
17/07/2006: Rino Gattuso has said it would be a 'dream' to play for Manchester United as the Reds line up a move for the AC Milan midfielder.
The 28-year-old World Cup winner looks set to leave Milan after the club were thrown out of the Champions League and docked 15 points for their part in the Italian match fixing scandal.
Gattuso is now looking at alternatives and United are known to be in the running as Sir Alex Ferguson sees him as the perfect player to fill the boots of Roy Keane.
"We must think carefully about the situation and, over the next few days, decide the next step," the Italian international's agent Alessandro D'Amico
revealed.
Gattuso has also set his heart on a move to Old Trafford when he added: "It has always been my dream to play for United."
