Ljuboja completes switch

02/05/2006: Serbian striker Danijel Ljuboja has signed a contract with Stuttgart which will see the player at the German club until 2009.

The 27-year-old who is fully expected to be part of the Plavi squad in this year's Fifa World Cup finals had been on loan to the Bundesliga club from the French-based Paris St-Germain.

Having scored 11 goals in 31 appearances at the Gottlieb Daimler Stadion this season the Stuttgart management decided to sign the player on a permanent basis.

Although considered Serbia'a third choice striker behind Savo Milosevic and Mateja Kezman Ljuboja may have to play some sort of role in Germany through injuries and possible suspensions.

Ljuboja made his name at Sochaux and Strasbourg in the French league before his ill-fated move to the Paris club when he fell out of favour under Bosnian coach Vahid Halilhodzic
