Jankulovski expects tough test

17/06/2006: Czech Republic defender Marek Jankulovski says they are desperate to qualify early for the second phase to avoid having to beat Italy.

The 29-year-old stopper knows a win against Ghana on Saturday will see his side book their place in the last 16. He thinks the Euro 2004 runners up are more than capable of another performance similar to the one they put in against the USA which ended in a 3-0 victory.

He said: "They will be totally different team than USA. Americans wanted to outplay us with physical football, which did not happen. Ghana have better technical skills and they like to keep the ball.

"We will be playing against tough opponents. We saw their game on video and their footballers are of high quality. They play in Europe and I know Asamoah Gyan and Sulley Ali Muntari. It will be a difficult match."
