Janas to leave selection late

09/06/2006: Pawel Janas will not name the Polish line-up to face Ecuador until the latest time possible.

Having tinkered with his line-up throughout the friendly fixtures it's unclear what type of formation the former international will employ for the second match of World Cup 2006.

"We decided a long time ago on the formation but how we play you will see before the game," said Janas

"I always give the line-up immediately before the game. That's the way I work with the players."

Up to 60,000 poles are expected in the German city of Gelsenkirchen for the 2000 BST kick off.

Poland face Germany and Costa Rica in the other games in Group B and face a real prospect of meeting England in the second phase game.
