Italy clueless about America
16/06/2006: Italy have confessed that they know little about their next Group E opponents, USA, ahead of their clash on Saturday.
The Azzurri made an impressive start to their World Cup campaign with a solid 2-0 over Ghana on Monday while USA are facing an early exit after they were hammered 3-0 by Czech Republic.
The two countries face each other in Kaiserslautern at the weekend and just a day before the clash, two of Italy's stars have admitted that they know very little about Bruce Arena's men who will be fighting for their World Cup lives.
AC Milan star, who set Italy on their way against Ghana with a fantastic first-half strike, said: "There is Claudio Reyna who plays in Europe and then there is the other lad from PSV Eindhoven.
"I don't know much about the players who don't play in Europe but we will watch some videos."
Vincenzo Iaquinta, who netted the second in Italy's opening game, also revealed he knows little of the threat of USA.
"I know very little about them, I know they have some players in Europe," said Iaquinta.
"Certainly they are a good side. We will be talking about them with the coach and watching the videos."
