Branko names full strength squad
16/05/2006: Following a three-week training camp in Switzerland, coach Branko Ivankovic named the final Iran World Cup squad on Monday.
With four Germant-based players in the roster, the squad is one of the most experienced sent out by the Iranian FA and the strength in depth belies their current betting of 1000/1 for Iran to win the World Cup.
Saba Battery striker Ali Daei remains their most potent force, but with players like Ferydoon Zandi, Mehdi Mahdavikia, Ali Karimi and Vahid Hashemian also in the squad, Iran may surprise their first round opponents Mexico, Angola and Portugal.
Iran will hold another team building session in Tehran before travelling to their German World Cup training camp in Friedrichshafen on June 4.

Midfielders: Anderanik Teymourian (Abomoslem), Mehdi Mahdavikia (Hamburg), Javad Kazemian (Persepolis)
