Scots to stage World Cup friendly
26/04/2006: Easter Road, home of Scottish Premier League club Hibernian, will host a friendly game between Ghana and South Korea in the build up to World Cup 2006.
The Black Stars v Asian Tigers game will be played at the Leith ground, and organisers are hoping for a bumper crowd in what will be the first time the two nations meet.
The two sides wanted to play a friendly in Scotland, but were struggling to find a venue, until Hibernian offered their ground.
The exact date for the game has yet to be announced.
Ghana will play the Czech Republic, Italy and the United States in their opening World Cup ties.
South Korea, who reached the semi-finals in the last Fifa World Cup tournament, have Togo, France and Switzerland in their group.
