Star set for WC green light

15/05/2006: Harry Kewell is expected to be fit in time for the Socceroos World Cup assault despite sustaining a torn groin muscle on Saturday.

The 27-year-old limped out of Saturday's FA Cup final with West Ham after just 47 minutes.

He will undergo intensive treatment in Liverpool over the next few days days before linking up with the Australian Squad. in Holland to prepare for the finals.

"We have liaised closely with the Australian national team medical staff and their physio actually accompanied our club doctor to the scan." said Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton.

"That scan has shown Harry has torn one of his groin muscles. It has been agreed that Harry will receive treatment at Melwood for the next 10 days before joining up with his international team-mates in Holland.

"We expect him to be playing again within the next two to three weeks."
