Govou gets French call
09/06/2006: Sidney Govou, the Lyon striker, has been called as the replacement for the unlucky Djibril Cisse.
Cisse suffered a broken leg playing for France in a friendly warm-up fixture against China in St Etiene.
Immediately ruled out of World Cup 2006 Domenach wasted no time calling up Sidney Govou.
The Liverpool player fractured his right tibia early in the first half following a harmless looking challenge from Zhi Zheng.
Govou has international experience and plays ahead of Nicolas Anelka and a not bitter Ludovic Giuly.
