Emmanuel Eboue
26/05/2006: Yet another of the players found by Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, Emmanuel Eboue has proved to be a real revelation in the Premiership during the second half of the season.
His amazing lung capacity, which allows him to make bursting runs throughout a match, has meant that the right back now seems likely to hold on to the position in the starting 11, even when Lauren returns from injury.
Eboue only got his early opportunity in the side due to the injury troubles of Lauren, but has showed such prowess and ambition that there are few better right backs in the whole of the Premier League.
If he can reproduce that form for an Ivory Coast side littered with world-class talent, Emmanuel Eboue could well upset the odds and help his country through a group containing Argentina, the Netherlands and Serbia and Montenegro.
He manages to manoeuvre into the box with such regularity that he is a good outside bet to be the opening scorer in the matches he plays.
