The Black Stars dominated throughout with Sulley Muntari opening the scoring in the early stages and captain Stephen Appiah making it 2-0 with the first of his two deflected goals before the break.

Jamaica managed to pull one back against the run of play early in the second half but Appiah made it 3-1 to the Black Stars shortly afterwards before Matthew Amoah completed the 4-1 victory.

Michael Essien played a large part of the game and received a hero's reception when substituted midway through the second half.

Coach Ratomir Dujkovic was pleased with the performance and happy with the progress the squad is making.

"We are getting better each game and by the time of the World Cup we will be ready to beat any team," said Dujkovic

"Every match is important and with the World Cup so close it is important to get the sharpness in the team.

"I'm 80 percent sure of the players who I want for the first game against Italy."
