Drogba double does the trick

04/06/2006: Elephants hitman Didier Drogba scored two goals in as many minutes to give the Ivory Coast an impressive World Cup friendly win against Slovenia in Evry, France.

The striker who could be leaving Chelsea after this competition cracked one home in the 35th minute and added his second less than two minutes later.

Kanga Akale completed the scoring with a fine goal with 20 minutes to play to give the Africans an important confidence-boosting victory after draws against Chile and Switzerland.

Drogba, who has now scored 24 golas in 34 appearances, was substituted with ten minutes to play when Ndri Romaric came on with Ivory Coast coach Henri Michel using all six of his permissable substitutions.
