Domenech to give Henry support

16/06/2006: France boss Raymond Domenech has defended his tactics over Thierry Henry and insists he will have support against South Korea.

The Arsenal star was played as a lone striker in the opening goalless draw against Switzerland on Tuesday but he failed to make an impact as the 1998 World Cup winners struggled to get going.

Domenech has faced criticism for not getting the best out of Henry by playing him alongside another striker, but the French tactician has defended his tactics.

Domenech said: "For me an attacker is a player that happens to be in the opposing penalty area at the time.

"One, two, three - it doesn't matter. We will get players into the penalty area. All the group of players are available and everything is possible right until the day of the match."

Domenech has also insisted that he will not be underestimating the South Koreans, who sit at the top of Group G following their 2-1 win over Togo.

"It won't be any easier against them," he warned. "They attack well and defend well and are a very fast team.

"They have some quality players and it certainly won't be easier. But the match will be played at 9pm so the conditions will be easier for us."
