Defender out of World Cup
16/06/2006: Togo defender Ludovic Assemoassa is out of World Cup 2006 after being stretched off ni his nation's opening group game against South Korea.
The 25-year-old, who plays for Cuidad Murciain the Spanish second division, will be unable to play for eight months after sustaining knee ligament damage in the unlucky 2-1 defeat.
Togo will play their second match against Swizerland in Dortmund on Monday, a match the Togo team need to win to stay in the tournament.
