David Beckham

21/04/2006: David Beckham may have the greatest fame of any footballer on the planet, but he also has one of the best right foots.

The Real Madrid midfielder has a unique knack of manipulating a football, picking out players with a 40-yard pass with apparent ease. His crossing is also incredibly hard to defend against, as the 30-year-old can put huge amounts of curl on the ball.

He will want to perform well at what must be the England skipper's last World Cup.

The 2002 tournament was ruined for him after a broken bone in his foot prevented him from playing at 100 per cent fitness.

Since his £25 million move to Madrid from Manchester United, Beckham has failed to win anything with the Spanish giants. Winning the World Cup as the England captain would soon make him forget that, however.

A master of the dead ball, we will surely be treated to one of his exquisite free kicks at some point during the tournament - hopefully during the final in Berlin.
