Czechs warm up with win

27/05/2006: Goals from Milan Baros and Marek Jankulovski helped the Czech Republic to a 2-0 win against fellow World Cup qualifiers Saudi Arabia.

Baros' effort in the 15 minutes came from a mazy dribble before shooting low into the corner of the net.

The Czech's dominated most of the play with the Saudi's confined to the occasional counter-attack effort.

Jankulovski completed the victory in the 90th minute when converting a penalty after David Jarolim had been brought down in the box.

Jan Koller missed the game through injury having picked up a knock in training earlier in the week.

Czech Republic coach Karel Bruckner was generally pleased with the performance.

"There's lots of things we have to improve in our tactics," he said.

"We're just in the first phase of our preparation."

The next Czech Republic warm-up game is against Trinidad and Tobago in Prague on June 3.
