Chelsea agree Del Horno fee
21/07/2006: Valencia look set to complete the capture of left-back Asier Del Horno after Chelsea accepted their offer for the player.
The 25-year-old defender, who was selected in Spain's World Cup squad before missing out through injury, moved to Stamford Bridge last summer in an £8m deal from Athletic Bilbao but he has failed to establish himself in the first team under Jose Mourinho.
Del Horno did make 25 league appearances for the Blues last year but was given a torrid time by Lionel Messi in the Champions League clash with Barcelona which may have made up Mourinho's mind.
The Premiership champions have now allowed the defender to travel to Spain to begin negotiations over personal terms, although no details of any fee involved have been released.
