England bust-up claims denied
22/06/2006: England officials have vehemently denied newspaper reports of a training ground bust-up between Steven Gerrard and David Beckham.
Reports in a tabloid newspaper suggested that skipper Beckham and midfield partner Gerrard had a heated debate in front of the rest of the squad as they prepared to face Sweden on Tuesday night.
Gerrard apparently disagreed with the Real Madrid ace about the number of long balls that were being played up to Peter Crouch and the two had a frank exchange of views on the subject.
