Bruckner refutes fatigue claims
18/06/2006: Karel Bruckner has played down suggestions that his Czech side were tired and that's why they suffered the 2-0 defeat to Ghana.
Bruckner was without key strikers Jan Koller and Milan Baros through injury, but the coach refused to make excuses for the defeat and instead praised their opponents.
The Czech coach said: "I wouldn't say our players were tired, we couldn't use that as an excuse.
"The first goal was detrimental to our intentions. The Ghanaian players were splendid in attack."
