Brazil v France odds /
01/07/2006: Kaka and Emerson will have late fitness tests on knee injuries ahead of the quarter final, while Zinedine Zidane will be fit to feature.
The Brazilian duo picked up the problems during the defending champions 3-0 win over Ghana, but both have been improving as the week progresses.
If Kaka and Emerson don't make it, Arsenal's Gilberto Silva and Lyon's Juninho are expected to replace them in the starting line-up.
Robinho has shaken off a thigh injury, which forced him to miss the Ghana game, but is tipped to start on the bench with Ronaldo and Adriano given the nod up front.
Meanwhile, France insists Zinedine Zidane will feature in the Frankfurt clash despite sitting out training on Thursday.
The 34-year-old, who will retire at the end of the World Cup, has been hampered by a sore foot but is expected to play in an unchanged team.
That means Thierry Henry will continue to play as a lone striker, with Brazil indicating that they will man mark the Arsenal frontman.
The game provides a repeat of the 1998 final that France won 3-0 when Ronaldo did his famous disappearing act and Brazil put up one of the most disappointing finals performances they have ever managed.
But they have not failed to win a finals game since that defeat, going 100% through the 2002 finals on the way to landing the trophy, and taking four more wins since the start of this finals tournament to make it a record 11 wins on the bounce. Indeed France are the only side to have beaten Brazil since the 1990 finals when they went down 1-0 to Argentina in the second round in Turin.
History suggests a close and cagey affair with very little between the sides in past meetings. There has only been one game between the sides so far with more than three goals, and that was their first meeting all the way back in the 1958 finals when Brazil won 5-2. In seven meetings, both sides have won twice with three draws and 19 goals scored.

01/07/2006: France will beat Brazil. It's simple. They are a better team with more balance and have no passengers. Are they the greatest value bet of the World Cup 2006 so far ?
01/07/2006: I think brazil will win. They have barely played in there games so far. the reason is cos they've barely tried. They are just coasting along nice and cool and will turn on the style against France when needed. The French played well against Spain although they were pretty lucky to win and Spain didn't have what it took to go far and yet again lost there bottle.Brazil's stars will show up when it matters.
01/07/2006: Have I missed something? Since when did France become a decent team? They have been very very poor. People seem to be getting carried away with the performance against Spain. La Furia had no heart for a fight and where defensively completely enept. France are the worst side left in the competition by some way (and that includes England). I couldnt have them against any of the other 5 teams left in the competition let alone Brazil.
