Robinho ready for Ronaldo role
10/06/2006: Robinho says he is ready and waiting in the wings to take over from Ronaldo who has been suffering from a fever.
Brazil have been playing down the absence of the Real Madrid striker in training, while there have been reports that he will not be fit to face Croatia in their opener on Tuesday and that he may even mis the whole tournament.
The seven-years younger Robinho has been in the shadow of his Real Madrid team-mate for some time, but the former Santos star is ready to take over his mantle.
It was about time the fat knacker was removed from the team.
