Black Stars on top in Scotland

05/06/2006: Scotland's last and only involvement in World Cup 2006 preparations happened on Sunday when Ghana convincingly beat South Korea in Edinburgh.

Asamoah Gyan scored a first-half penalty for the Black Stars after Kim Jin-kyu had handled in the box, Lee Eul-yong scored a long range equaliser five minutes into the second half.

Sulley Muntari restored Ghana's lead after the break with a header and the impressive Michael Essien's goal ten minutes from the end confirmed their superiority.

Striker Park Chu-young showed some nice touches for the Korean's who played Manchester United star Ji Sung Park. Asamoah Gyan showed he deserves a World Cup start for Ghana with some good all round football.
