Trinidad/Tobago - Betting Preview
30/03/2006
The rank outsiders of all the teams in World Cup 2006 Trinidad and Tobago or the Soca Warriors as they are better known, have little chance of winning a point let alone winning the whole competition. Made up of a team of lower division players in the English and Scottish leagues they face a David v Goliath struggle to compete. They have, of course, Dwight Yorke up front but the player had to be coaxed out of retirement to play in the qualifying games and is certainly less than 75 per cent of the player he was when competing in the Champions League for Manchester United. Sweden are their first opponents and the Scandinavians will be determined to get their campaign off to the best possible start at Dortmund on June 10. Things get no easier five days later in Nuremburg when they face a confident England side that will be looking to secure qualification before facing Sweden in their last game. Perhaps the Soca Warriors can recover some pride in the final game against Paraguay especially if both sides are knocked out already. A points total of 3 could be decent bet.
